what's been happening you say? quite a lot actually. i'll just go in order of my days as they have been...
thursday:
school was a drag with block scheduling. baas and hokeman back to back again for 80 min. but, that was the last time ever!!! :) after school i hung out with cristina for a bit and got golden spoon. then i had to go to a job fair, which on a side note i have an interview on monday at the boys and girls club to be a program leader for their summer camp, so wish me luck.

friday:
was the multi cultural fair, so we got an hour lunch and yummy food. i didn't even have to wait in line...i've got connections with the asians, pacific islanders and europeans. haha! after school julie and i hung out for a little while and then at 6:30 i went to play tennis. i ended up playing for four hours! amazing!

saturday:
i woke up and played more tennis. jenna and i played at 8:30 this morning. that was fun. we hit for about two hours and then made our way over to "the bagelry", where i think i shall now be visiting often! sooo yummy! the rest of the day i just ran some errands, did some home work and relaxed. it was a good, good day!

well, in other news...only 3 days of actual school left! crazy stuff! i'm going to try my best to enjoy these last few days. too bad four days of finals are still to come...i'm ready for summer vacation!

i'll try and update when something more interesting happens in my life...that's all for now!

i've become a goth

haha not really, but i'll get to that later. after school today (we got out at 2:00) julie and i decided to take advantage of the lovely weather and go play some tennis. well, for some reason tennis never really works out with the two of us. not serious tennis anyway, but that was cause i was beating her (my competitive nature was satisfied and she had given up...haha) just kidding...sorta. anyways, after the score hit 4-0 we began speaking in "british accents", calling each other "idiot" after every sentence and then we proceeded to waste all our water by spitting it at each other and later throwing it on each other. well, tennis ended up by us laying on the court in the lovely sun and chasing little black spiders...don't ask...you don't want to know.
but just wait the day gets even better (or should i say worse). we were hungry and stopped by chipotle, where the adventure continued. we always seem to have the most interesting experiences there...
the real fun started in the parking lot after my delicious burrito. we were sitting in the car trying to figure out what to do next when for some odd reason julie decided it would be fun to see what i looked like with eye-liner on. so she gets out her eye-liner and tells me to put it on. i'm not good with make up and apparently neither is julie cause it went from me looking just odd to then looking like i had gotten into a fight and come out with two black eyes. but it wasn't good enough for her and she had to put more on me, which made me look like a creepy kidnapper, which was nothing compared to how gothic i looked after she was finally done! seriously i looked CREEPY! and julie looked like an egyptian person when i got done with her (actually she stared doing it to herself). i have the pictures on my phone, but not sure how to upload them to the computer, so if i figure it out i will post...they are pretty hilarious.

well, that was my interesting, yet fun day! seriously...never a dull moment. :)
only two more days this week...i think i can, i think i can!

what about this weather eh?

okay last weekend it was like in the 90's and now it's back down to like 60. weird! i mean, i went to play tennis last night and all of the sudden it starts pouring! at first it was just lightly coming down, so we continued playing, hoping it would let up. it got to the point where i couldn't serve because every time i looked up to throw my toss water would get in my eyes. we got completely soaked before we decided that the rain was not letting up and ran full out to our cars. however i didn't loose so badly last night. the score was 6 to 3 instead of 6 0 haha! and we had quite a few long deuces and adds.
oh and the funniest thing: scott goes "my hair is getting wet!"
me: "no kidding mine too...do you hear me complaining???"
"well, no, but i probably care more about hair care than you do"
haha...that is probably true, since i don't really pay all that much attention to what my hair looks like.
anyways, i'm off to plam springs with my family till monday.
so, bye for now! :)

spider!

okay this may not be nearly as funny for you as it was for me, since it's my cousin and i know him, but i still thought this was pretty amusing. justin actually made up that song and that is him singing...kinda scary. what a crazy guy. he is the one in the middle by the way.

and people wonder why i am the way i am...i'm considered the normal one in my family haha...okay that may be a stretch :)

and so it has come to an end

well yesterday i stayed home sick. i didn't feel well when i came home from school on monday, so i slept. i had a field trip on tuesday, so i wanted to go to school and was completely ready and everything, but then decided it would probably benefit me more to stay home and sleep, which is what i did all day! amazing! i did go to school today though and was feeling much, much better. and with only three classes (two of which i watched movies in) i was even feeling well enough to play some tennis. :) i haven't been able to play i a good three weeks; it was SUPER windy and i got my butt kicked, but after i get my game back i'll be ready to beat scott...hopefully.

the track 'banquet' was also held tonight. i wasn't looking forward to going, but am really glad i did. i know i complain all the time about going to track practice and about how i don't like track, but honestly deep down i like it. i mean i love the people and the fun times we get to have, but apart from that i also like high jumping though i may not always show it like i do my passion for tennis. high jump is such a unique thing, which i consider to be more of a mental game than a sport...honestly it is much more mental work than physical. in addition i think it can present a great analogy to life. i mean, you have a set goal or standard to make or achieve and in order to clear or accomplish that goal you must fully make it over that bar. just like a high jump bar, goals in our lives can't be made/achieved half way. with only "half way" the bar falls down, but when we rely on God and put our full trust that he will catch us on the other side (analogy to the mat!) of that bar we will fully accomplish what we set out to those few steps ago. this may not make any sense to anyone else, but i can fully comprehend it for some reason. anyway's what i really wanted to say before i got completely sidetracked, is thank you everyone for an amazing season! i couldn't have made it though without any of you! and a special thanks to coach jim (if you read this) for always being patient and encouraging with so much passion for high jump. you truly are a blessing to me! :)

well, that is all i have to say on the matter of track...until next year that is.

hope your week is finding you well!

only two more weeks!!!

oh, what a bummer...the weekend has come and gone. at least this week shouldn't be too horrible. i've got a field trip on tuesday! i can't believe there is only two weeks of real school left and then finals and then we're done!!! and i am so ready! this year has been brutal and you know what? i'm convinced the the workload of junior year has harmed me more than it has assisted me in my study habits. seriously! i used to like to go to bed early and wake up early and i never procrastinated on assignments. i still LIKE to go to bed early, but it's more a matter of can't because of all the stuff i had to stay up doing. it is slowing down a bit now, so that will be nice.

anyways...this weekend was pretty relaxed. i got to hang out with cristina and jenny on saturday night, since cristina came home from calvin! so yay...that was fun. today i just went to church and then went to cost co with my mom to get some new luggage. my duffel bag kinda died on our last trip...sad, sad.

well, sorry that wasn't' the most interesting of posts...hopefully i'll have something later on in the week! :)

have a great week everybody!

you don't need arms to hug

alright! i survived AP tests!!!!! woohooo! it is such a relief to be done and it should be pretty much smooth sailin' from here on out. sorry i haven't posted lately, but i decided to devote some of my time to different things. like go for a walk or just sit and think. good stuff. well, i shall try my best to fill you in without boring you...
wednesday i had an AP english exam, which i think went okay, but i'm so glad it is over with. i also had a math test, which i believe went pretty well...we shall see...
after school on monday i had to go get three shots in order to go to Costa Rica this summer. my left arm is still sore from the stupid tetanus (sp?) shot. that was pretty lame. but i guess it will be worth it if i get to go to costa rica!
lets see... oh tuesday i got my hair cut...super short too! it doesn't look that short in the picture, but it's like at my shoulders, so it is much shorter than i had it.
well, i like it for now.
today was absolutely amazing! i only had periods 2, 4 and 6, so that means AP english, AP US and bible. english we had a party for being done with the ap test and history we watched a movie. bible we did a prayer walk around the campus, which was pretty cool.
chapel today was amazing as well! i have never seen our school so emotional as a whole. there were people crying left and right! the guy that spoke was probably one of the most convicting people i have ever heard speak! he was born without any arms or legs and told us how he has overcome being different. his message (basically it doesn't matter what anyone here on earth thinks of you...only God) really sunk in. another point that he made is the idea that everyone has pain and everyone is hiding some of their pain inside. the people around you can hide their pain just as well as you can, which is so true. often we only think about what we are going though, but don't stop and think that the person sitting next to us may be going through a hard time as well. another thing that really amazed me was when he was talking about when he was born. his parents had no knowledge that he would be born without any limbs and, therefore, were probably shocked. he said "i'm sure they didn't look at me and think 'awww how adorable'" or something along those lines. it just blows my mind what this man had to go thought all his life, yet he still thanks God for the way he is so that he may be inspiration to others, which is exactly what he is. after chapel almost every person was lined up to give him a hug. and despite what one might think, you absolutely do no need arms to give a hug.
love you all!
will post again soon

i believe i can fly

6 am: my alarm goes off and the first thought that went through my head was "i do NOT have school today...so why in the heck is my alarm going off??? track meet? bingo!" but, what started off badly ended pretty well.
i was really not in the mood to jump this morning, but as soon as i got jumping things began to click. i was really just hoping for an end of the year make on 4'10", which didn't happen. instead i got an end of the year make at 5 feet!!! so excited!!! i'm only 5 inches taller than that! well, after 5 foot i had to obviously attempt 5'2". it didn't go so well...i completely freaked! it doesn't sound that bad. i mean, what's two inches higher, right? wrong! two inches is a lot! my first attempt i knocked the bar away with my hand before i even had a chance...haha sad. oh well i'm still pretty stoaked! twas a good way to end the season and i have to say i am actually kinda glad season is over. as much as i will miss jumping and hanging out with everyone, it will be so nice to devote some more time to tennis and sleep. :)

well, speaking of sleep i'm beat. and my face is quite sun burnt...even though the sun never came out and it was cold! stupid!
have a good rest of your weekend's everyone!

i survived APUSH!!!

i'm so glad this week is over! actually i'm just glad today (mainly my APUS history exam) is over. seriously! it is such a relief!!! i think i pretty much bombed it, but i wasn't expecting to pass...haha. i know, great attitude huh? well, after that my brain was totally fried, but i did still go to chem and bible. i got to skip out on math since i had a quiz that i totally wasn't prepared for...i know i'm bad.
chem wasn't too bad, seeing as i was only in it for about 20 min. and bible was amazing! we went outside for 20 min and had to sit in solitude and silence. i lied down under a tree, which was amazingly peaceful to stare at. that is until two birds started jumping around in it, causing bunches of leaves to fall on me. :) it was great though since often life is so busy we don't (or at least i don't) always take the time to just sit in silence and reflect on things. i really did find it pleasant...i think i'll try it more often.
after 6th period i walked out to the parking lot, where i saw julie, who had nothing better to do than come with me to my house and back (i had to back at school at 3:00 for track practice). we actually made pretty good time with julie's mad driving skills (*cough 55miles over the speed limit*cough...scary!) and i was only 15-20min late. actually 15 cause i hopped over the fence next to the high jump pit in order to save myself some time haha!
after practice the CIF members went to olvie garden, which was a blast. someone told the waiter it was matt's birthday and they brought him some chocolate gelato, which was passed around amongst 15 people! ha!
when we were finished with dinner kristen, matt and i walked across the parking lot to guitar city (or world or something like that). anyways its basically a guitar store where you can hook up a guitar to an amp and play it. haha too bad i suck at guitar! matt tried to teach me something, but it didn't work out too well for me.
after that it was off to senior play with julie. oh man, senior play: absolutely hilarious! i think the best roles had to be jane and mallory, who played the parts of an alien obsessed school girl on roller skates with micky mouse ears (jane) and a crazy PE teacher wearing a fluffy pink boa(mallory). i couldn't stop laughing at them!
well, twas a fun, fun day! tomorrow i'm off to Carpinteria bright and early! last time i was up there was for tennis.
well, wish me luck jumping tomorrow!

have a nice day!

my new song obsession...actually my obsession for the last two weeks. haha
you all should go listen to it...video isn't great, but you can just listen.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=UheKmPY1mNw

Oh if its one thing i hang on to that gets me though the night,
I aint gonna do what i don't want to
I'm gonna live my life
Shinin' like a diamond,
Rollin' with the dice,
Standin' on a ledge I show the wind how to fly
When the world gets in my face, I say have a nice day

la di da di

yeah so this is what we do in yearbook...no wonder my grade goes down in that class. haha! this was on thursday, during the hour and a half of third period! kill me! alicia, chantal and i managed to make it fun by randomly dancing (acctually i attempted to dance ha!). i think we also entertained the ceramics people, who were watching us though the window. good stuff.

hope you all have an enjoyable week! i know i will...not. sooooooo busy!!! but, i'm still smilin' :)

man, i'm high!

high up in the air that is! hahah! well, actually you can't really tell how high that is (i would guess around 4'8"), but it's still a pretty intense picture. some random person took it at LA county and matt sent it to me. my facial expression: so not attractive.

i have some other interesting pictures to post from the meet yesterday, but i'm afraid those will have to wait. wish me luck on the SAT tomorrow! i'll need it. :)

a good yet hectic may day

i only have time to say something quick, since it is super late and i'm ober tiered, but today was league finals for track. it was a good, yet emotional day...seriously! full of tears, laughs and good conversations, but in fact track season is not yet over for me...i'm actually moving on to CIF. pretty stoaked about that!

well, best be off to bed...i'll explain all of the crazy emotions later.
service day tomorrow! wooot!

good night!
