oh, yes! tonight was awesome! i mean how can a fun time not be had when you get beckypoo, sora, dark rainbow, quiet riot and me (danielou) together! these were our laser tag code names by the way. ah, what a fun night! so much laughing! but, i warn you. for such and innocent name as beckypoo, she can sure shoot people! :)

so, we have me, doing who knows what, and amy's hand that is like glowing off the flash! i'm scared of myself! :)

i went to its a grind and subway with some friends today. pretty fun! oh, until i found out that one of my friends *cough august *cough is a murder! we actually all already knew that because of what happened in mexico, but i won't go into that now. she, in fact, takes pleasure in killing cute innocent furry little animals, or rather, what would have become a cute innocent furry little animal...actually it wasn't even furry yet! nor did it ever become furry, for i fear that it has, by now, met it's doom. it never even had a chance! snakes are dumb pets! if you have no idea what i'm talking about, i better inform you, because august isn't really a horrible person. she just has horrible pets...a snake for example. that enjoys eating non- furry little innocent creatures that are still alive. sad, sad. other than that the day was good! :) full of some more tennis! which totally rocked since my game was completely on! 6-1 was the score.

whats the cure for hiccups?

anyone know of a good cure for the hiccups? although, by the time anyone responds to this they will probably be gone....i could still use suggestions for next time though. :)

tell it like it is...

the sunburn is slowly disappearing and turning into a tan. except for my face! my face is still red and my forehead is peeling....blah! but, what can you do? look at the bright side...at least it doesn't hurt anymore! :)

so, yesterday i went to babysit for these people that my parents know. they live in naples, which equals no parking! i did, however find a nice spot over the bridge not too far away. they live right on the canal and for living there, their house is huge! their decor was distracting me a little. i have absolutely no clue what look they are going for. the outside looks like a cottage style and then you walk in the front door and there are stain-glass windows and crosses everywhere. i felt like i was in a catholic church. i walked into the next room and it was like hawaiian themed. the dining room was something along the lines of centeral asian and then the kitchen is like spanish style with bright vibrant colors. their upstairs office is nautical themed with porthole windows and anchors. i was so confused.

any way after getting over the shock of the may different 'looks' of their house we had a fun time. there is a girl named antonia and boy named giovanni (not a clue how to spell that). yeah, not italian at all. they were pretty cute kids though and good for the most part. we went to the park and "played" baseball. you can't really play a full out game with me, who doesn't even know how to play baseball, and a 7 and 4 year old. still fun though. :) they enjoyed having me spin them around in circles. yeah, talk about dizzy after! and also taking pictures with my phone. fun stuff! :) one funny slightly sad thing: when we were at the park, their neighbor, who is also 4, and his mom came over. that kid was one hyper child! he was crazy! so we were standing there and then giovanni goes, to the kid's mom, "when is luke going home?"
luke's mom: "are you ready for him to go home"
"yes!"
ouch! he told it like it was. i was kinda just shocked at how forcefully and boldly he said it...no shame at all. this is the same kid who i mentioned a while back who asked me who the mother of katie was...funny kid.

well, i suppose it can just not when you are out in it playing volleyball (attempting to play volleyball in my case) for like 4 hours in the middle of the day. oh yeah, and i didn't have sun screen on...bummer! i don't even like getting sunburned! not that many people do but... i mean i really don't care all that much about getting tan (well, except my flip flop tan...i pride myself on that; you would too if you had, had a sock tan for more than a year) so there is really no benefit to it at all. but, i guess i'll live. that is until i get skin cancer and die! oh, and want to know the best part? i now have some pretty sweet tan lines going on. yep yep i can now honestly say that i have a flip flop tan :) and a farmers tan (farmers sunburn currently). yeah, not as happy about the whole farmers tan thing as i am about my flip flop one. :) i look like a lobster! ah well, fun day none the less. actually kinda fun and sad at the same time.

you see it was my friends going away party today. she leaves tomorrow for michigan and i won't see her until christmas! so long! quite sad. :(

wow, that was pointless.

twas a productive day

a very productive day indeed. it started with me getting golden spoon for breakfast! :) how can one's day go wrong after that? it can't. oh, and getting coffee for my mom. yuck! coffee is not my cup of tea(ha ha get it?...yeah not funny. i'm not sure i even get it). i like tea though. tea is yummy! i also got a library card and checked out some books for all this dumb summer homework. i had a library card, but not for the long beach branch. so now i have one! hmmm? let's see what else did my productive day consist of? oh, this isn't productive, but i did get "attacked" by everyone and their mom while backing down my driveway. all i was trying to do was get to tennis (that reminds me...tennis was productive; i'll get to that in a min.). yeah, for those of you who don't know my driveway is not easy to back down. you have to curve around the corner of the house in order to not run over the planter, while not crashing into a brick wall that is on the other side, then make a sharp turn to avoid the other planter or the grass....not the easiest, but manageable when you don't have a bunch of people coming at you. first some guy that was taking measurements in our backyard for our lawn or something was blocking the driveway with his truck. he moved it and then my uncle/pool guy (my uncle cleans our pool) walks up and starts talking to me about driving...yay! not. well, it wouldn't have been that bad except for the fact that i was already running late. then i say good bye and actually made it to the street when my messed up neighbor, who is graduating tonight from high school (i won't go into how she is messed up, but lets just say she likes to party; not in a good way) is yelling "hi" at me as she is "running" (she was in high heels...i would have fallen over just standing) down the street, to her car, because she is late for her graduation. then her mom pulls up right behind my car and starts talking to her. excellent. she sees me and what does she do start talking to me. then as they started to talk again i just waved and drove off. yikes! never a dull moment at my house!
after i finally made it to tennis, it was quite productive! i hit probably the best i've ever hit! very exciting! oh, and i was able to play a match yesterday with the girl i was hitting with and i won. that too was pretty sweet! :)

yeah, in case any of you cared about my adventures of backing down my driveway, you are now informed. :)

lazy days of summer

it honestly still hasn't hit me that it is summer break! i feel like i should be doing homework or something...well, i do have summer homework that i have been too lazy to even look at. yesterday i did try and start reading a book for AP U.S. , but failed. i began falling asleep after the first page and decided to watch a movie instead. the whole falling asleep thing might have had something to do with how full i was. i mean you would be tired too after eating swedish meatballs at ikea (which ikea is tiring enough itself), jamba juice and to top it all off and finishing the day at our favorite place...golden spoon of course! :) eating makes me tired.

but, apart from going to ikea with friends, my summer has been kinda dull so far. well, except for when i'm playing tennis or driving! yeah, i'm totally loving the whole driving alone thing. good stuff!

so,i'm off to go well, you know...play tennis! what else?

SCHOOLS DONE!!!

oh, i'm so relieved! i celebrated today by having the opportunity to exercise my freedom! well, actually it wasn't a celebration i just went to the long beach towne center, which was cool. oh, did i mention i went by myself? yeah, this whole driving thing is pretty darn cool if you ask me! :)

well, well big day tomorrow for all you seniors that are about to become freshmen! :)

emotion overload!

ahhh! this day has been a mixture of emotions! this morning i was nervous for my history final (i really needed a good grade) then after i took it, relieved. after i was done with my finals i got to go visit mrs. fieldhouse and tessa, which was exciting and totally made my day! she is a cutie! it's funny, i kept smelling her little baby scent on me all day. :)

when i got home i did some studying and checked powerschool to see if any finals grades were in...they were. history turned out fine (which made me happy) and bible was even better (that made me extremely happy), but then i looked at my geometry grade...totally depressing! :( there is a reason i hate math. let's just say that i was very disappointed with myself, to like the point of tears. and this was not just the final grade, but the grade in the class. oh well, it is what it is.

oh, and something else that kinda well, i wouldn't exactly say "brightened my day" but it did have some amount of coolness to it. my actual drivers licence came in the mail today (i just had a temporary). the picture is absolutely horrible! my lips are like reddish and i have no clue why! my signature is also really weird looking. i was so nervous that i was shaking and now it looks retarded. fun stuff! maybe i'll show it to you, if you ask. :)

disneyland adventures!

instead of studying for finals...i took a little break and went to dineyland for a few hours since my cousin is out here and really wanted to go. i haven't been there so long! it was fun (better than studying anyway) but it was completely packed! we were there from 1:00-6:00 (because i really did have to go study) and we only went on 2/3 rides. i say 2/3 because i went on 3 and my cousin and step sister only went on two! ha ha! :) yeah, i ditched them in the line for splash mountain, went on pirates and then got back in line with them (i was the smart one). no, actually i just wanted to see what they had changed in the ride. by the way this is my cousin, jenna, in the middle, betsy (step sister) on the right and of course you all know who i am! :)

LOOK! it's a giant pirates poster with the best actor ever! too bad there was a glare. :(

after we got off splash mountain we were soaked! nice butt pic huh? :) the most hilarious thing was when this guy walked up to us, turns around and sticks out his butt to be in the picture...too bad we didn't get it on camera. it made me laugh so hard!

so, the music group people while we were eating asked for volunteers from the audience and no one was going up! (the intention was for little kids). i felt bad so i ran up there to get a kazoo! then a bunch of kids ran up there after me! so cool! (bad pic though).

yeah, you all just with you could pull off dreads like us and johnny! ha ha. rock on! :)

i hate finals! well, english wasn't too bad and at least the days are shorter! today was especially nice since i only had to be there for an hour and a half meaning, my mom's car would only be gone for around 2 hrs. (and where would she really go between the hours 8 and 10?). yep yep that's right everybody! i drove myself to school today...so i hope none of you were out on the road! :) well, obviously it wasn't that bad since i'm still here and no reports of any accidents on the path i took. i also parked way far away and when asked why, i replied "i hate parking and i didn't want any one to watch me park." but, i surprisingly did a pretty good parking job if i do say so myself. so, my mom was without a car for a couple of hours, but i made up for it by going to starbucks for her. :)

3rd post of the day

alright, so i'm lying in bed ready to go to sleep when our next door neighbors begin blasting their music again! (they were having some function) well, if i thought that was bad...it gets worse. these are the neighbors on our right side (left if you are looking at my house from the street) the ones with the giant white house (for those of you who have been to my house). well, the thing is they are in like their 60/7o's. and normally very anti-social. they had this party fund raiser thing and it is still going on!!!! so, as i'm lying there the music wasn't too bad some classical then some swing and then some rap! what??? yes, 60 and 70 year olds listening to this horrible ghetto rap while the entire neighborhood is trying to sleep! does that strike any one else a bit odd or is it just me? my goodness what is this world coming to?

*sigh well, i'm going to try and go get some sleep now! :)

kids say the funniest things...

last night my family and i went to dinner at these people's house. it was okay, not exactly fun, but sill not bad. they have 2 little kids a girl and a boy. the girl is like 7 and the boy is 3 or 4. well, katie absolutely loved playing outside with the little boy; they played ball (katie is obsessed with balls). so, when i went outside to check on katie the little boy goes "do you want to play soccer with me?" sure why not. so as we "played soccer" (more just kicked the ball back and fourth) he starts talking to me, which was semi-surprising since he was extremely shy in front of everyone at first. he goes "are you her sister" *points at katie. "yep we're sisters" and get this next he says "oh, so who is the mother? is she the one with the dark hair?" it was so funny. my mom was like "oh, i like him." so, as he keeps talking to me he goes "what's your name?"
"danielle"
"oh, my baby sitter's name was danielle. you weren't my baby sitter were you?"
"no i wasn't ever your baby sitter"

he was hilarious! well, i just thought i would share that.
now i'm back to studying for finals...boo! that is all i will be doing all day! yuck! i'm trying to maybe play tennis this afternoon, but no one to play with...maybe i'll just go hit on the ball machine. no idea.

seriously friends! can you find it for me? i sure can't! not that i will matter in one week from today cause we will be done with school and finals! super duper!

my title also refers to a very strange song my cousin, justin, bought off of itunes with my account! well, i did sign into itunes for him. so, i guess it is my fault. but, it truly is a strange song...i'll play it for you sometime if any of you wish...creepy i'm warning you! :)

drivers test: pass or fail?

#1 let me just say that i absolutely hate the DMV! it takes them stinkin' forever to do anything, but that is beside the point. so, i know you are all anxious to know whether i am now a licenced driver or if i will have to go back and retake it. :) so before you read form your opinion, do you have confidence in my driving skill or not. i'm curious. :)

so, i left school at 1:00 and my appointment was at 2:00 (they told us to get there early). not that it helped getting there early because it still took forever. the funniest thing was that my mom was actually more nervous for me than i was for myself. so the instructor lady comes and goes though all the turn signals and brake lights ect... finally she gets in the car and we were off. she wasn't exactly the nicest person on the planet, but i guess you aren't really supposed to be in that position. the only real problem i had with her was the fact that she really kind of waited till the last possible second to tell me where to turn. i'm seriously surprised that i didn't miss any turns. :) well, despite the little amount of warning time, i must have done something right because i passed!!!! :) yippy! only minus 2. the first one i missed was about the defroster. she told me to point to it. i did. and then she goes "is that the only place?"
i pointed to the other button for the rear defroster "well, this one is for the back window." but, apparently there is also a way to do it through the controls on the GPS system thing...how was i supposed to know. how dumb! :) the second thing i got marked off for was not looking behind me when making a right turn. now tell me, how many people do you know that turn around in their seat to make a right turn when? lane change: yes. but, oh well, it's not a big deal. i still passed! :) i'm very very very excited! hmmm? i think this calls for a reward...maybe a golden spoon! :) too bad i have home work. maybe i can go another day...it can be a post celebration!

tomorrow is the day. yes, the day i take my licence test. please wish me luck and maybe even say a little prayer for me to calm my nerves. seriously i'm really nervous, which i know doesn't help at all in the least bit! but, whether i pass or fail life will go on. the show must go on! i know that doesn't relate, i've just always wanted to say it. :)

alright, that didn't take long at all. you all can call me again! (read post below if you haven't) my mom went to the cingular store today. since it was almost time to do a free upgrade (it was up in august so i'm a few months short) we got it for almost nothing. i don't even know what kind of phone it is, but i don't really care. to me a phone is a phone. i'm just happy my sim card wasn't damaged so i didn't lose all my contacts! :)

waterlogged

not me. my cell phone. but, you want to know the best part? it was my step dad's fault so he has buy me a new phone! :) my cousin and uncle drove in from utah today so we were outside grilling for dinner. justin and i were pretty much killing each other with balls and those foam noodle things that you float on in the pool. so i had my phone in my pocket and i was standing by the edge of the pool. i was standing with my hands in my pockets and holding my phone in one. gary comes up and fakes pushing me in. so as i start falling backwards my hands come out of my pockets, bringing my phone to the top of it. then since i was tipped backwards it falls out and into the pool it goes. we immediately got it out and tried to let it dry by taking the battery out and stuff. when i put the battery back in it seemed to be working fine. i had it in my hand and it gave a short vibrate thing, made a sizzling noise and then went blank...not a chance of survival.
pobre phone! :(

so, i'm going to see if anyone in my household has a temporary i can use, but it's not looking good. :( so, just in case you really really need to reach me you can risk harassment from my step dad and call my house phone! :) it won't be too painful...i promise, he may just tell you something like "danielle doesn't live here anymore...we sent her off to reformed school" or something like that...he likes to joke around. but, don't say i didn't warn you all...i know my family is strange, but gotta love 'em! :)

:) FUN DAY!

yep, that pretty sums up my day! minus the tennis and incredible burger (but we shall save those for another fun day). mi good amiga, cristina, and i enjoyed a lovely little bike ride down to seal beach this morning! fun stuff! and, get this...i actually managed to stay on my bike. amazing i know. it really was a nice ride. it brought back some good memories of tennis season. oh, something really cool; we saw a coyote just trotting along the opposite side of the bank...pretty sweet! well, anyway...we got yummy muffins at this cute little coffee place called cinnamon something (i don't know it had cinnamon in it). after ridding back to her house we played (actually i attempted to play) guitar hero, ate jelly sandwiches (no peanut butter) and chocolate pudding, and watched some jeopardy while we waited for jenny. guitar hero is addicting, but i completely stink at it. also, while we were waiting for jenny, we managed to have some fun confusing people on the phone. first my friend called my cell phone and i told cristina to answer it pretending to be me. it worked, but unfortunately the cell signal was really poor and she kept hanging up. so, she still doesn't know that i was never the one talking to her. but, this gets even better...my mom called next. she was fooled also. they seriously carried on an entire conversation with cristina pretending to be me. the most hilarious thing though had to be when my mom goes "okay, i love you" cristina: "ummm...i love you too. bye". she totally managed to seal the deal; i don't think we even sound that much alike, but hey. i called my mom back and told her,she just laughed, and then after that kept asking me questions like...what time i was born or what my middle name is to make sure it was me! hilarious though! :)

today was also my first trip to C28. it's a christian clothing store...pretty awesome. they definitely have some really cool stuff in there. unfortunately my indecisiveness played a major role yet again. it probably took me 20+ minutes just to decide on whether i was getting jeans, jeans and a shirt, or just a shirt. jenny was helpful and gave us all our options. they were having specials on the shirts and jeans...buy one get one free! seriously, what a deal! two things for the price of one! :) well, i eventually ended up just buying a shirt that would have been $30, but i got it for $15 since cristina and i each payed half. then we had our expedition to nordstroms to compare and "analyze" the differences in the jeans...it's a long story.
fun day! so much done! :)

but, now i'm pretty much falling asleep as i type this. so, i bid you all farewell until i post again! i know you will all be anxiously awaiting that happy moment! :)
