some of lifes small questions

why is it that on the back of a peanut butter jar it says "may contain traces of peanuts or other types of nuts".....i mean are people really that dumb, that they cant figure it out for themselves....it is called PEANUTbutter. or why do we say an alarm clock goes off, wouldn't it be turning on? why is the alphabet in that order, was it cause of the song? what happens if a doctor, operating on someone, has a hearkattack...do the other doctors work on them or the person they were oraginally operating on? and how come toy hippos are always pink or purple or blue when real ones are brown? it just doesnt make sense! hmmm.....so many questions so little time.

did you get these Q's off a website? im having a hard time believing anyone, even you, would spend time thinking up Q's like that, but you have a point.
your Q's reminded me of something. dont you hate it when you always picture something SO good because of books, but they really arent very good. like winny the pooh! i always thought hunny would taste so good but it doesn't. or gingerbread, its supposed to taste GOOD, but it doesn't. hmmm, why is nothing, as you expect it to be? =0

well, for one thing, the label on a peanut butter jar. they are required by law to put a warning label on it for peanuts, because of peanut allergies. why don't they put labels like that on everything? well, peanuts are very hard to detect in some products, so to protect those with peanut allergies, all products containing peanuts must put a warnign on no matter how obvious it is. if they don't and someone with a peanut allergy gets sick, thye can be sued.
the alarm clock does not "turn on," because it was already on to begin with. it is just like a regular clock. it was already ON, but the alarm just WENT OFF. =]
i'm not exatly sure why the alphabet is in that order, but the song did come after the order of the alphabet was established.
if a doctor has a heart attack while in surgery, the doctor would have to be sent to have surgery by another doctor (not the ones in the operating room with him) they cannot chance taking too long on his surgery that they cannot complete the surgery already going on. what would happen if the person they were operating on woke up, becuase they had postponed his surgery in the middle of it?!
toy hippos are simply those colors for marketing reasons. how many kids would want a brown, realistic hippo compared to a cute pink cartoonish hippo? the company just wants to sell them.

btw... i pretty much made up the answers (except for the first one, becuase i believe that is true) and some of the other ones, i partially used answers that i've heard, and partially just used logic. =P
i'm stil kind of tired.... i just woke up an hour ago. =P (yes... at 1:00 in the afternoon... i know. i was tired.)
you will probably find that there are very good reasons for the way that things are. for example, along with the alphabet thing, you could make the arguement or ask who had the authority and how did they get the authority to make up new words and be taken seriously when if you did that now, you would be given weird looks? well, my answer to that would be that it isn't so important to know who made the words up, rather, to just know that the words are there to make communication wiht others possible. i believe there is good reason for everything, but sometimes we just can't see it. we'll just have to wait until we go to heaven to ask God about the tough ones ourselves. =]
i feel... methodical. lol.
WOW. that was a long comment... it's like... over 3 times longer than your entry. o_o!!!
i did put some thought into it, though. =P

here's your random question for this entry, danielle (don't worry, i won't do any more random questions on posts before this one) If you could only wear one color for the rest of your life, what color would it be and why?
