kids say the funniest things...

last night my family and i went to dinner at these people's house. it was okay, not exactly fun, but sill not bad. they have 2 little kids a girl and a boy. the girl is like 7 and the boy is 3 or 4. well, katie absolutely loved playing outside with the little boy; they played ball (katie is obsessed with balls). so, when i went outside to check on katie the little boy goes "do you want to play soccer with me?" sure why not. so as we "played soccer" (more just kicked the ball back and fourth) he starts talking to me, which was semi-surprising since he was extremely shy in front of everyone at first. he goes "are you her sister" *points at katie. "yep we're sisters" and get this next he says "oh, so who is the mother? is she the one with the dark hair?" it was so funny. my mom was like "oh, i like him." so, as he keeps talking to me he goes "what's your name?"
"danielle"
"oh, my baby sitter's name was danielle. you weren't my baby sitter were you?"
"no i wasn't ever your baby sitter"

he was hilarious! well, i just thought i would share that.
now i'm back to studying for finals...boo! that is all i will be doing all day! yuck! i'm trying to maybe play tennis this afternoon, but no one to play with...maybe i'll just go hit on the ball machine. no idea.

seriously friends! can you find it for me? i sure can't! not that i will matter in one week from today cause we will be done with school and finals! super duper!

my title also refers to a very strange song my cousin, justin, bought off of itunes with my account! well, i did sign into itunes for him. so, i guess it is my fault. but, it truly is a strange song...i'll play it for you sometime if any of you wish...creepy i'm warning you! :)

drivers test: pass or fail?

#1 let me just say that i absolutely hate the DMV! it takes them stinkin' forever to do anything, but that is beside the point. so, i know you are all anxious to know whether i am now a licenced driver or if i will have to go back and retake it. :) so before you read form your opinion, do you have confidence in my driving skill or not. i'm curious. :)

so, i left school at 1:00 and my appointment was at 2:00 (they told us to get there early). not that it helped getting there early because it still took forever. the funniest thing was that my mom was actually more nervous for me than i was for myself. so the instructor lady comes and goes though all the turn signals and brake lights ect... finally she gets in the car and we were off. she wasn't exactly the nicest person on the planet, but i guess you aren't really supposed to be in that position. the only real problem i had with her was the fact that she really kind of waited till the last possible second to tell me where to turn. i'm seriously surprised that i didn't miss any turns. :) well, despite the little amount of warning time, i must have done something right because i passed!!!! :) yippy! only minus 2. the first one i missed was about the defroster. she told me to point to it. i did. and then she goes "is that the only place?"
i pointed to the other button for the rear defroster "well, this one is for the back window." but, apparently there is also a way to do it through the controls on the GPS system thing...how was i supposed to know. how dumb! :) the second thing i got marked off for was not looking behind me when making a right turn. now tell me, how many people do you know that turn around in their seat to make a right turn when? lane change: yes. but, oh well, it's not a big deal. i still passed! :) i'm very very very excited! hmmm? i think this calls for a reward...maybe a golden spoon! :) too bad i have home work. maybe i can go another day...it can be a post celebration!

tomorrow is the day. yes, the day i take my licence test. please wish me luck and maybe even say a little prayer for me to calm my nerves. seriously i'm really nervous, which i know doesn't help at all in the least bit! but, whether i pass or fail life will go on. the show must go on! i know that doesn't relate, i've just always wanted to say it. :)

well, well wish me luck please! :)
oh, and any tips or words of encouragement from you licenced drivers would really, really be appreciated!

alright, that didn't take long at all. you all can call me again! (read post below if you haven't) my mom went to the cingular store today. since it was almost time to do a free upgrade (it was up in august so i'm a few months short) we got it for almost nothing. i don't even know what kind of phone it is, but i don't really care. to me a phone is a phone. i'm just happy my sim card wasn't damaged so i didn't lose all my contacts! :)

waterlogged

not me. my cell phone. but, you want to know the best part? it was my step dad's fault so he has buy me a new phone! :) my cousin and uncle drove in from utah today so we were outside grilling for dinner. justin and i were pretty much killing each other with balls and those foam noodle things that you float on in the pool. so i had my phone in my pocket and i was standing by the edge of the pool. i was standing with my hands in my pockets and holding my phone in one. gary comes up and fakes pushing me in. so as i start falling backwards my hands come out of my pockets, bringing my phone to the top of it. then since i was tipped backwards it falls out and into the pool it goes. we immediately got it out and tried to let it dry by taking the battery out and stuff. when i put the battery back in it seemed to be working fine. i had it in my hand and it gave a short vibrate thing, made a sizzling noise and then went blank...not a chance of survival.
pobre phone! :(

so, i'm going to see if anyone in my household has a temporary i can use, but it's not looking good. :( so, just in case you really really need to reach me you can risk harassment from my step dad and call my house phone! :) it won't be too painful...i promise, he may just tell you something like "danielle doesn't live here anymore...we sent her off to reformed school" or something like that...he likes to joke around. but, don't say i didn't warn you all...i know my family is strange, but gotta love 'em! :)

:) FUN DAY!

yep, that pretty sums up my day! minus the tennis and incredible burger (but we shall save those for another fun day). mi good amiga, cristina, and i enjoyed a lovely little bike ride down to seal beach this morning! fun stuff! and, get this...i actually managed to stay on my bike. amazing i know. it really was a nice ride. it brought back some good memories of tennis season. oh, something really cool; we saw a coyote just trotting along the opposite side of the bank...pretty sweet! well, anyway...we got yummy muffins at this cute little coffee place called cinnamon something (i don't know it had cinnamon in it). after ridding back to her house we played (actually i attempted to play) guitar hero, ate jelly sandwiches (no peanut butter) and chocolate pudding, and watched some jeopardy while we waited for jenny. guitar hero is addicting, but i completely stink at it. also, while we were waiting for jenny, we managed to have some fun confusing people on the phone. first my friend called my cell phone and i told cristina to answer it pretending to be me. it worked, but unfortunately the cell signal was really poor and she kept hanging up. so, she still doesn't know that i was never the one talking to her. but, this gets even better...my mom called next. she was fooled also. they seriously carried on an entire conversation with cristina pretending to be me. the most hilarious thing though had to be when my mom goes "okay, i love you" cristina: "ummm...i love you too. bye". she totally managed to seal the deal; i don't think we even sound that much alike, but hey. i called my mom back and told her,she just laughed, and then after that kept asking me questions like...what time i was born or what my middle name is to make sure it was me! hilarious though! :)

today was also my first trip to C28. it's a christian clothing store...pretty awesome. they definitely have some really cool stuff in there. unfortunately my indecisiveness played a major role yet again. it probably took me 20+ minutes just to decide on whether i was getting jeans, jeans and a shirt, or just a shirt. jenny was helpful and gave us all our options. they were having specials on the shirts and jeans...buy one get one free! seriously, what a deal! two things for the price of one! :) well, i eventually ended up just buying a shirt that would have been $30, but i got it for $15 since cristina and i each payed half. then we had our expedition to nordstroms to compare and "analyze" the differences in the jeans...it's a long story.
fun day! so much done! :)

but, now i'm pretty much falling asleep as i type this. so, i bid you all farewell until i post again! i know you will all be anxiously awaiting that happy moment! :)

i'm sleepy! fun day! the senior play was great. good job all you guys! it was hilarious! well, i think i'm going to hit the sack...maybe then i can get some sleep to prevent me falling off a bike tomorrow. :)
